How It’s Made

From cocoa to finished square

Roasted Ghana cocoa nibs are refined into milk chocolate, blended with the cannabinoid profile, tempered, molded, and finished by hand in San Francisco.

It starts with the cocoa

We begin with roasted Ghana cocoa nibs, cocoa butter, milk powder, sugar, and the other ingredients that form the chocolate base. They’re refined together in a melanger until the texture is smooth and the chocolate comes together.

Then comes the cannabinoid blend

Broad-spectrum CBD, CBG and CBC are measured in carefully chosen proportions, then incorporated directly into the chocolate alongside the other ingredients.

Tempering the chocolate

Once the recipe is complete, the chocolate is tempered for a clean snap and smooth finish. It’s then deposited into molds, allowed to set, and released when ready.

Square by square

Once set, the chocolate is released from the molds and checked by hand. Each square is inspected for finish and consistency before going into the box.

In the end, it has to taste good

The refining, formulation, tempering, and molding all come down to the finished square: fudgy Ghana cocoa, a touch of lavender, warm cinnamon, and a soft fruit finish, with the cannabinoid blend incorporated throughout.
